Extra Notes About Greyhound
Canada & USA Websites

Note: Although the Greyhound Canada site shows Canadian travel destinations OK, and shows Canadian prices, the Greyhound USA site is MUCH better. Here's my advice:
1) PLAN USING THE GREYHOUND USA WEBSITE... Unlike the Canadian site, it gives you detailed schedules (shows every stop) and you are able to enter Canadian, American and Mexican departures/ destinations. The Greyhound Canada site is limited to Canadian places only. So plan where you want to go, and what schedule you want to take, with the USA site. But
2) FIND THE PRICE(S) IN CANADIAN DOLLARS FROM EITHER THE GREYHOUND CANADA WEBSITE OR PHONE 1-800-392-1340). The GH Canada site shows prices in Canadian dollars, but only for Canadian destinations. For USA/Mexico destinations, call the free 1-800 number above. The best deals are, for students (only one discount allowed per ticket):
a) regular fare ticket(s) with a STUDENT DISCOUNT(on regular fares only), or,
b) COMPANION FARE (you pay, but 2nd person free). Not available with all tickets. Check the websites.
c) ADVANCED PURCHASE FARE. If you buy 7 or 14 days before your trip, on SOME tickets, you get a good discount. Not available with all tickets. Check the websites. d) GO ANYWHERE FARE. If you only have one destination, ask about a "GO ANYWHERE FARE"- it costs only $200 Canadian, return ticket- anywhere in Canada and USA! One disadvantage is YOU CANNOT stopover in a place to visit for awhile (I think you can with the regular tickets).
